How Do We Stand When Everything Feels Like It’s Burning?
Right now, we’re watching a country that feels like it’s boiling over. Political unrest, violence, fear, uncertainty—it seems like everywhere you turn, the temperature keeps rising. And as believers, it can feel like we’re walking through the fire.
But God already prepared us for this. Isaiah 43:2 reminds us:
"When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
Notice something here: God doesn’t say we won’t face the fire — He says we won’t be consumed by it.
This is not the time to shrink back in fear or confusion. The world may shake, but our foundation remains steady. The same God who stood with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the furnace still walks with His people today.
Even more, 1 Peter 1:7 tells us:
"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — though your faith is far more precious than mere gold."
The fire isn’t here to destroy us — it's here to refine us.
