Your mind is a battlefield — and the enemy loves to fight dirty.
He’ll whisper:
“You’re not enough.”
“You’ll always be this way.”
“God’s done with you.”
“You're too much — or not enough.”
But God’s Word is louder.
And what God says about you still stands.
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5
This month, as we honor Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re standing up to one of the most common struggles:
negative self-talk.
Let’s flip the script — literally — and speak God’s truth over our thoughts.
5 Common Lies vs. God’s Truth
1. "I’m not good enough."
Truth: “You are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus…” — Ephesians 2:10
✨ You’re handcrafted by Heaven.
2. "I always mess things up."
Truth: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1
✨ Your mistakes don’t define you — grace does.
3. "No one sees me. No one cares."
Truth: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18
✨ You are seen, known, and held by a faithful God.
4. "It’s too late for me."
Truth: “Behold, I am doing a new thing… do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19
✨ God isn’t finished. He’s just getting started.
5. "I’ll never have peace in my mind."
Truth: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast.” — Isaiah 26:3
✨ Peace isn’t impossible. It’s promised.
